National Youth Week

From the 1st to the 10th of April it's National Youth Week.

Once a year Australia celebrates whole week of awesome and exciting events specifically organized for all the young people in the country. This season, young folks aged 12-25 is invited to join in all the festivities as we celebrate this year’s National Youth Week.

Now on its 12th year run, the Youth Week has provided a great platform entirely dedicated for all the young people in the country. The National Youth Week celebrates young peoples’ ideas, views, participation and creativity and promotes them to the broader community. Here in Queensland, both the community and local government is committed in ensuring that all young people are valued as successful participants in the social, cultural and economic life of their community, and have the opportunity to participate in decision making processes within the community. Locals as well as young holiday guests in our Surfers Paradise apartments at Anacapri Holiday Resort Apartments can take part on week long celebration filled with exciting events that youngsters would certain want to get involved in.

National Youth Week will take place all over the country with series of fun-filled events. There are plenty of awesome activities happening on Youth Week that can cater to your interests. You can take part in sporting activities, dance parties, community projects, conferences, debates, exhibitions, festivals, forums, live performances as well as competitions.
 
The event will also feature Youth Week ambassadors who support NYW’s objectives namely Chef Callum Hann, hosts Faustina Agolley and Dylan Lewis, actresses Ashleigh Brewer and Jordy Locas, and Madeleine Madden (13 year old girl who delivered first non-political Address to the Nation for GenerationOne). Celebrity Ambassadors help promote and raise the profile of National Youth Week by participating in media interviews and attending selected NYW events.
